New Solution in XYZ and Rotation Positioning System

18 Dec 2014

We would like to explain simply how to assemble an XYZ plus Rotation Positioning Stage. When choosing a multi-axis positioning stage, be sure to consider the travel range requirements, the load of your applications and the overall size of systems, and make sure that all the stages should be assembled in one.

Here, we are going to show you a completed new type of XYZ-Rotation System. Specially, this set will provide a top table in horizontal position without other adapters. Your subject can be positioned on the rotation table in a simple way. Please find the image of this system by the below linkage.
XYZ Rotation Positioning System

It will be easy to know that this XYZ-Rotation System is stacked by the following items:
- XY, Translation Stage: T125XY-25RM
This is an XY translation Stage with 25 mm range in X and Y axis.
(Tips: 2 of single axis linear translations also can set up an XY stage.)

- Z, Vertical Translation Stage: T125Z-10B
The vertical stage will be from a single axis linear translation stage, and the linear translation stage will be positioned on a right angle bracket in most of the XYZ solutions. However, the platform is perpendicular to the XY stage (T60XYZ-13L), and we have to prepare adapters for connecting the subject on the platform in many situations.

Therefore, we improved the mounting holes on our Vertical Translation Stages to combine into our Linear Translation Stages, so as to find a easy and simple way to build an XYZ Positioning Stage without any other adapters. After the combination, we will get a perfect XYZ (or XZ) system and the platform is parallel to the XY stage (T125XYZ-25RM10B).

- R, Manual Rotation Stage: R125A-L
This rotary stage should be mountable on the table of Z stage, and the direction of rotation axis is subject to the position of top table in Z stage. The direction of rotation axis in R is Vertical (parallel to the gravity) in the above mentioned solution.
