SuperK COMPACT - Supercontinuum White Light Laser
02 Sep 2014
The new SuperK COMPACT is a cost efficient turn-key supercontinuum white light source with a wide output spectrum that covers the entire 450-2400 nm region. The output is single mode with a brightness many orders of magnitude larger than that of other white light sources like incandescent lamps and with far more bandwidth than ASE sources or SLEDs.
The light is delivered in a single mode fiber terminated with either a standard FC/PC connector or our high quality collimator.
Connectivity and compatibility
Unlike most supercontinuum sources on the market, the SuperK COMPACT can be triggered externally and synced with low jitter up to 20 kHz. The trigger signal can be provided to a standard coax input or to the industrial trigger input that galvanically isolated.
Constructed on the same platform as the larger SuperK EXTREME sources, the COMPACT is compatible with the existing range of supercontinumm accessories such as the SuperK SPLIT wavelength splitter and the tunable variable bandpass filter, SuperK VARIA, all of which can all be controlled directly from the source or through the bundled control software package.
The SuperK COMPACT can be found in laboratories around the World where it is the daily driver for many users within applications like component characterization, test & measurement, spectroscopy and OCT or simply as a general purpose laboratory white light source.
