FISBA’s focus at Photonics West 2014: customized optical components and FISBA RGBeam, an ultra small lasermodule

FISBA OPTIK, a world leader in optical systems manufactures Fast Axis Collimation lenses (FAC) with near diffraction-limited collimation, high-performance coatings and excellent surface properties for laser diode arrays and single emitters. The FISBA Beam Twister™ (FBT), based on FISBA’s innovative beam symmetrization technology, comprises such a FAC lens with a beam rotating lens array for maximum fiber coupling efficiency.

Additionally, for manufacturers of diode lasers who need high performance in minimal space, the FAC lens with total internal reflection (TIR) has been developed. The TIR-FAC lenses divert the laser beam at a 90° angle and achieve focal lengths of up to 1.5 mm.

The FISBA RGBeam is an ultra small lasermodule which precisely couples three wavelengths. It can be used directly or carried to the customer’s application through a multimode-fiber. The RGBeam finds use in the field of life sciences, the automotive industry as well as in production technology and metrology.
