The ultimate reliable laser from Laser Quantum

In a recent lifetime analysis, the gem laser from Laser Quantum was shown to have a mean time to failure of over 500,000 hours. Its high quality components, exacting design and manufacture together with rigorous testing protocols mean it exhibits the ultimate in laser reliability.

The gem laser from Laser Quantum is often the forgotten member of the Laser Quantum product range in comparison to the higher powered finesse pure CEP, or the more innovative taccor GHz lasers. With nearly seven thousand installed systems, the gem is however one of the bestselling products in the portfolio and as such can be used for analysis of performance when in high usage applications.

At 532nm and up to 750mW power, the gem has ruggedness and stability designed into every component. It is subjected to a 1200g drop test on each of its four surfaces simulating mistreatment followed by 200 hours of temperature and power cycling to measure its performance, stability and to ensure long lifetimes.
