26 Jul 2013 LASER COMPONENTS has a vast range of optical filters including IR bandpass filters in the range of 1um up to 20um. With a large selection of available filters our standard Full Width Half Maximum values are 1.1%, 2%, 4.3%, 8% or 11%.
Our IRlLongpass filters are constructed from stacks of thin layers, allowing for typically transmission between 60%-80% in the pass band and 0.1% or less in the cut-off region which extends into the x-ray range.
LASER COMPONENTSā IR semiconductor filters are absorption filters that rely on the electronic band structure of semi-conductors. They exhibit long-wave pass characteristics and consist of coated, optically polished discs of semiconductors that are mounted in holders for protection, thus allowing a very high rate of absorption in the suppression region.
Finally our IR Neutral Density filters are used in broadband attenuation of infrared radiation. They utilise a metallic coating that is responsible for the attenuation of light via reflection or absorption.
All of our IR filters are available in a range of substrates, such as fused silica, sapphire, germanium and silicon.
