20 Jun 2013 DELO, manufacturer of industrial adhesives, has developed an anaerobic-curing all-rounder. The innovative DELO-ML UB160 produced in-house provides a convincing solution with extensive features for metal bonding and sealing in mechanical engineering, plant construction and the automotive industry.
Thanks to its multiple application areas, such as screw and thread securing, magnet and ferrite bonding in electric motors, and shaft-to-hub connections, this high-tech adhesive is the ideal complement to the DELO-ML product family.
The one-component, multi-purpose adhesive cures within just a few minutes. The curing reaction is an anaerobic one, which means that the adhesive cures by exclusion of oxygen in connection with metal ions. In addition, this product from the DELO-ML series is specifically high-viscous. Therefore, it is also suitable for tasks where the adhesive must not flow too much, such as bonding magnets to shafts or stators.
Within the normal temperature range of use from -60 °C to +180 °C, the high-strength adhesive achieves outstanding bond strength. The innovative material also shows excellent chemical resistance, for example to substances used in the engine compartment including oil, gasoline or diesel.
The new DELO-ML UB160 is available in containers of 50, 200 and 600 gram.
