24 Apr 2013 Umicore will launch a super compact 25mm standard infrared lens at coming SPIE DSS in Baltimore, USA. The new 25mm f/1.2 GASIR standard assembly will be one of the smallest and lightest fully athermalized long wave infrared lenses on the market. With a design close to the diffraction limit it gives the best possible image over a wide temperature range. The lens suits VGA, 17µm pitch detectors and is ready for the coming generation of 12µm pitch detectors (up to 1024x768). Then new 25mm GASIR standard assembly being light weight, compact, athermalized and diffraction limited is the best possible trade-off between performance and cost and suits both handheld and stationary cameras and is an ideal fit with camera cores.”
