27 Feb 2013 Low Cost Laser Modules
These are the smallest laser modules available worldwide, available from stock in several wavelengths. The drive electronics are integrated and the complete modules are barely larger than the laser diode itself, enabling simple connection into any system.
Our Smallest Laser Module
The smallest laser module measuring ø3.3mm is a 650nm dot laser, available either in a plastic or a metal housing. The plastic version has a maximum output power of less than 0.9mW, whereas the metal housing has an output power of less than 3.0mW.
For larger diameters between 6.2mm and 10.5mm, wavelengths other than 650nm are also available. In addition to the red at 635nm, there are also versions available at 780nm and 850nm, both of which are not visible to the human eye.
We also offer a module to focus the laser beam, even at an output power of 2.0 - 5.0mW.
Our Smallest Line Laser
With a fan angle of more than 120°, LASER COMPONENTS offers the smallest line laser in its product range. The laser module, which emits at 635nm, measures ø11.5mm x 30mm long.
Lifetime
We are often asked about the lifetime of the modules. On average, the lifetime is more than 10,000 hours; however, the 635nm modules have a slightly shorter lifetime than the other modules at approximately 5,000 hours. This data is based on operation at between 2.5 and 3.3VDC.
