The new fibre cleaver makes it possible to produce highly precise cleaves at the fibre tips – automatically and thus reproducibly. The angle to the optical axis of the fibre can be adjusted between 0° and 15°.
Both the quality of the connectors and their polishing have been improved: new techniques and tools for assembly have brought on technological advancement. In the eccentricity of the fibre core to the outer diameter, we can now achieve values of < 10µm. These values and the polishing are checked for accuracy and scratches and impurities, respectively, using a digital measurement microscope. Saving the measurement data helps in the precise traceability of your fibre assemblies, so that you know what you hold in your hand.
Fibre arrays. The demand for fibre arrays continues to increase. They are used, for example, as cross-section converters. For this purpose, single-layer or multi-layer line arrays with up to 50 fibres are converted into a round fibre bundle. We will mount the arrays in a round or rectangular custom connector.
