26 Mar 2012 BFi OPTiLAS, pan-European partner of Bristol Instruments, Inc., the leader in laser wavelength measurement technology, has introduced a new laser wavelength meter for researchers who need to know the exact wavelength of their pulsed infrared lasers and OPOs.
The new model 821B-IR is designed to operate over the entire wavelength range of 1.5 to 5 μm. Proven Fizeau interferometer-based technology is used to measure the absolute wavelength of pulsed and CW lasers to an accuracy as high as ± 0.004 nm.
The system is automatically calibrated with a well-known wavelength standard. A measurement rate of 200 Hz and other features allow for convenient integration into an experiment to provide real-time wavelength data.
Those unique characteristics should fulfil the need of a variety of applications such as molecular spectroscopy and chemical and environmental sensing.
