22 Feb 2012 Laser Lines is proud to announce the addition of Ealing to their portfolio of suppliers. A world-renowned company, with a long tradition for manufacturing first-class optical and mechanical components, Ealing manufactures products of the highest quality for both research and industrial markets.
Ealing’s micropositioners come in three ranges, MicroMech, MiniMech and MacroMech, giving platform sizes of 30 x 30 mm, 60 x 60 mm and 100 x 100 mm respectively. However your ideal solution will also depend upon criteria such as range of travel, load and resolution. Ealing linear manual micropositioners are constructed from a combination of steel and aluminium to provide a light weight stage with performance approaching that of an all-steel design. This is achieved by machining the outer body of the positioner from a single piece of aluminium which has an exceptional resistance to deformation despite its light weight. Accurately machined and pre-loaded hardened steel ball bearing slide-ways and a steel central stage combine to give exceptionally precise and accurate linear motion.
The hardened steel ball bearing slides are individually adjusted and tested during assembly. Spring loaded guides maintain contact between the central steel translation stage and the driving head, ensuring minimal backlash.
The micropositioners can also be motorised to provide incredibly accurate control over movement and measurements, in addition Ealing are willing to build custom solutions for OEM requirements. A pdf is available to download where you can view the exact specifications of each range.
