24 Oct 2011 Taking into consideration the customers‘ wishes, OWIS® have extended the existing product line MMS 19 actuators with non-rotating tip by two new variants. The MMS 19 with the usual 2-phase step and DC servo motorization is now available with 12 mm travel. Instead of the Hall-effect limit switches, mechanical switches can be integrated, too.
The non-rotating tip reduces transmission of parasitic vibrations to the actuated body as well as heat caused by friction. For example, the mirror holder K 100 can be adjusted without transmission of heat. High actuating force and accurate positioning with very small resolution are easily to be reached, when using the MMS 19.
Not only the extremly compact design, but also the flexible mounting thread allows further motorization of various positioning stages – even from other manufacturers. On request, vacuum-prepared versions are available.
With the M9 thread, manual postioning stages can easily be motorized. Furthermore, for the OWIS® well-proven stages MT 75 and MT 120 and other positioners with M12 thread, a thread-adapter M9 to M12 can be delivered.
