12 Oct 2011 Cobolt FlamencoTM 660nm: 300mW ultra-low noise DPSS laser at 660 nm Cobolt, Swedish manufacturer of high performance DPSS lasers, announces the release of a new wavelength on the ground breaking single frequency, ultra-low noise 05-01 Series platform. The new Cobolt FlamencoTM operates at 660 nm with up to 300mW CW output power and is perfectly suited to applications such as DNA sequencing, Raman spectroscopy and interferometry.
The Cobolt Flamenco™ is a continuous-wave single frequency DPSS laser operating at 660 nm with up to 300 mW output power in a perfect quality TEM00 beam (M2<1.1). A new proprietary cavity design provides ultralow noise performance of typically <0.1% rms (over 20 Hz - 20 MHz and over 10-40°C), a narrow spectral linewidth of <1MHz as well as being immune to optical feedback.
The laser is manufactured in a compact and hermetically sealed package using Cobolt’s proprietary HTCureTM technology which provides a very high level of insensitivity to varying environmental conditions and unparalleled reliability. Lasers built using the HTCureTM Technology have shown to withstand multiple 60G
mechanical shocks in operation without any sign of degraded performance. They can be exposed to extreme temperatures (>100°C) and are insensitive to pressure and humidity.
The laser is supplied with a compact controller (CDRH or OEM) which can be remotely accessed for operation and monitoring of the laser system over digital (RS-232) or analog interfaces. Also available on the same single frequency platform is the Cobolt ZoukTM with 10 mW CW at 355 nm, Cobolt SambaTM with up to 1000 mW CW at 532 nm, the Cobolt JiveTM with up to 300 mW CW at 561 nm and the Cobolt RumbaTM with up to 2000 mW CW at 1064 nm. |
