10 Jun 2011 The condition of an optical fibre can easily be checked with the FIBERCHECK fibre tester by coupling into the fibre a good visible laser light.
If the beam hits a damaged part within the fibre, most of the light is scattered out of the fibre into the surrounding cladding. In this way a broken fibre can easily be recognised. Additionally, if there are many fibres bundled together, the FIBERCHECK can quickly and easily be used to identify each fibre.
Thanks to the universal 2.5mm adapter all connectors with a Ø2.5mm ferrule can be connected to the FIBERCHECK. Also available is an extra adapter for connectors with a Ø1.25mm ferrule.
