09 May 2011 LASER COMPONENTS now offer a broader range of standard packages for our most commonly used PSDs from SiTek. As an addition to the different pin configured packages, our 1L10 (10mm linear), 2L4 (4mm x 4mm area) and 2L10 (10mm x 10mm area) PSDs are now available as surface mount devices (SMD).
The SMD package is made of the same high performance ceramic material as our other packages, with a thermal expansion coefficient close to that of the silicon chip.
The new devices come with our standard D263 borosilicate glass window but can be delivered, as all our other devices, with a custom designed anti-reflection coated window or filter instead.
