07 Apr 2011 Customer-specific Production is Always Welcome – Numerous Large Orders Prove It!
LASER COMPONENTS’ high-power pulsed laser diodes (PLDs) are produced at our Canadian facility. Single emitters, multi-junction PLDs, and stacked designs are available at 905nm and 1550nm. They are used in applications such as rangefinding, speed measurement, laser radar, security scanners, in laser curtains, or testing and measurement systems.
905 Series
With the AlGaAs structure of the 905 series you can count on extremely high reliability, the best beam properties, and temperature stability. At an efficiency of 1W/A, the stacked designs achieve a peak power of 120W at a pulse length of 150ns. Multi-junction PLDs achieve a peak power of more than 220W.
1550 Series
The 1550nm PLDs are particularly well suited for the production of “eye-safe” rangefinders. They are also available as single elements, multi-junction PLDs, and stacks with a peak power of up to 50W.
Housings
The pulsed laser diodes are delivered either housed or un-housed. The following options are available: TO18, 5.6mm, 9mm, and 8-32 Coax housings as well as chips on ceramic sub-mount.
Custom Designs
Customer-specific designs and other wavelengths (e.g. 850nm, 930nm) are available upon request. Paul Rainbow’s entire production team relies on several years of experience in the manufacture of pulsed laser diodes. High quality and an excellent cost/performance ratio have resulted in their product lines reaching the top in just seven short years. It makes us proud to hear from our customers that pulsed laser diodes “made by LASER COMPONENTS” have meanwhile become the industry standard. Having achieved such a goal has not changed our desire to continue to flexibly offer customer-specific solutions.
