01 Apr 2011 LASER COMPONENTS is pleased to announce a new range of opto-mechanical benches and mounts for laser optics. We are now able to offer a wide range of holders and positioning systems for a variety of lenses, mirrors and polarisers.
Our simple mounts are designed for very simple adjustment, these include Adaptors, 45˚ mounts, standard, adjustable and self centring holders, as well as precision polariser mounts. These are designed for the popular sizes ranging from ½” to 5”.
For a higher level of accuracy we have a wide variety of adjustable mounts that are precise, very stable and easy to adjust. These are available as a kinematic or gimbal designed mounts. In a kinematic mount the pivotal point is on the outside of the optic, whereas on a gimbal mount this is found at the centre. These are produced to the highest standards with a 2 or 4 axis adjustment and are suitable from ½”- 2” diameter. The mounts come available in a series of types including rectangular, standard enclosed, O type, high stability C type, rotary mounts and also beam steering sets.
Also available is a range of accessories including tables and rail systems, rods and post holders. This includes a series of coloured post holders to allow you to differentiate between optics, single and dual filter wheels as well as a variety of manual stages for precise positioning of components on an optical system. The mechanical design of the systems can move a mass weighing 1kg, the larger units can even move up to 20kg.
