03 Feb 2011 Now available from LASER COMPONENTS is a new range of elliptical diffusers for excimer lasers. LASER COMPONENTS are the UK distributor for Holo-Or, who have developed a new range of diffractive optics which transform an elliptical excimer beam to a uniform round spot.
This new range of diffusers is made from UV grade fused silica, optimised for 193nm but is also available in other wavelengths. It is designed to be used with a lens to fine-tune and reduce the spot size to the desired focal length. Other benefits include very high transmission efficiency and a high damage threshold. An anti-reflection coating is available as an optional extra to further improve performance.
