17 Jan 2011 Cambridge Correlators introduces their affordable Optical Correlator and Fourier Optics Experimenter demonstrator kits. Intended primarily for academic and research, the kits allow the user to explore the fundamental principles of this exciting field.
The kits come supplied with custom Windows software and a Matlab interface which allows the optical system to be called as a single function.
The company is based in the UK and was originally spun out of Cambridge University's Engineering Department. It is currently developing optical processing solutions based on its optical correlator technology for a range of industrial, commercial and military applications.
The company also sells liquid crystal Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) devices, Schlieren optics kits and bespoke optical systems.
