The products adopt specialised fibre-coupling techniques resulting in high efficiency, excellent stability and superior beam quality. The techniques include the use of specialised micro-optics to circularise the beam profile and channel into the small fibre core diameters. Reliability is assured by the inspection and burn-in processes at every stage of manufacture. With BWTs employment of experienced research staff, production processes and new products are continually being developed to ensure quality and customers’ specific requirements are met at a reasonable price. One such new product is the volume grating wavelength stabilised 976nm laser with 25W output, <0.5nm FWHM, 0.02nm/C and 47x40x20mm making it ideally suited for fibre laser pumping.
