10 Sep 2010 Lithium Triborate LiB3O5 or LBO is a newly developed nonlinear optical crystal. It is unique in many aspects, especially its wide transparency range, moderately high nonlinear coupling, high damage threshold and good chemical and mechanical properties.
Its transmission range is from 0.21um to 2.3um. LBO allows temperature-controllable non-critical phase-matching (NCPM) for 1.0-1.3 um, Type I SHG, and also provides room temperature NCPM for Type II SHG at 0.8-1.1 um. It possesses a relatively large angular acceptance bandwidth, reducing the beam quality requirements for source lasers.
Transmitting wavefront distortion less than 1/8 @ 633nm
Dimension tolerance (W+/- 0.1 mm)x(H+/- 0.1 mm)x(L+0.5 mm/-0.1 mm)
Clear aperture central 90% of diameter
No visible scattering paths or centers when inspected by a 200 mW green laser
Flatnes 1/8 @ 633nm
Surface quality 10/5 Scratch/Dig to MIL-O-13830A
