07 May 2010 Dare to try innovative solutions. Use diffractive optical elements instead of expensive complex assemblies that take up a lot of space. DOEs made of sapphire are now available; they are ideally suited for use in medical technology where 2.94 µm Er:YAG lasers are often used.
With the help of so-called multi-spot elements light can be shone at different positions – all without a complicated mechanical setup! Common matrices include 1 x 7, 5 x 5, or 6 x 8 spot elements. Use the spots in dermatological treatments to mark points of interest on a homogenous surface. This only requires a thin sapphire optic. The element’s particularly small dimensions make it possible to construct slender hand pieces.
Our comprehensive selection of DOEs offers much in the way of sapphire elements. Designed for high laser power levels, the following models are available:
* Homogenizers
* Beam samplers
* TopHat modules
* Multi-spot elements |
