08 Mar 2010 Using V-groove technology,it provide fast mating and connection between optical fibers with very low optical loss. It is a mechanical splice that provides an inexpensive, quick alternative to mating fibers. Using V-groove technology, this splice maintains physical contact between the fibers,without need for fiber adapter or fiber pigtail. An assembly tool is designed by the fiber optic manufacturer and fiber optic supplier to used to ensure the fibers are mated correctly, resulting in <0.1dB insertion loss. This product secures both fiber and coating independently with the U-shaped sleeve,strengthen the fiber to resist damage by bending. |
