26 Jan 2010 The diode laser module at wavelength 1470nm delivers power from 10W to 60W through either a fiber bundle or a single fiber. This module is based on the hermitically sealed single emitters. The stability and reliability of the sealed single emitters and robust design make the module suitable for industrial environments. Currently the module is availabe at 10W, 22W and 60W with output of either standard fiber bundle or optional single fiber. Depending on the power and output the fiber core diameter is from 200µm to 600µm with 0.15 NA or 0.22 NA.
Due to strong water absoprtion in biological organ 1470nm is used in medical treatment such as hyperplastic inferior nasal turbinate. In the fields of security technique and materail processing 1470nm has many applications, too. The complicated white plastic welding could be done with 1470nm.
