06 Jan 2010 The LFI3751 is a high performance temperature control instrument. Drive up to ±5 A to TECs or resistive heaters with up to 8 V compliance. Expect stability as good as 0.001°C with thermistors. The LFI3751 Digital with Autotune PID provides better setpoint resolution and stability with low resolution sensors such as RTDs. This option offers improved overshoot suppression, 50% faster settling times, and faster calibration. An analog model is also available.
Autotune PID is a sophisticated algorithm for optimizing PID control settings for most thermal loads, reducing overshoot and improving temperature stability. The LFI3751 has an addressable RS-232 interface and optional USB. Autoranging sensor bias currents maintain sensor voltage for optimal signal to noise ratio.
From the front panel, adjust limits, PID control values, sensor calibration data, and enable/disable output current. The 4-digit display shows actual or setpoint temperature or resistance, output current & voltage. |
