Laser Thin Film Polarizer

21 Apr 2010

Thin Film Polarizers (TFP's) is used to split a laser beam into two parts with S and P Polarizations.

Our Laser Thin Film Polarizers (TFP) are coated to separate orthogonal polarizations with a high extinction ratio. They are designed for both Nd:Laser line (1053nm, 1064nm, 527nm, 532nm) and over a broad spectral bandwidth centered on 800 nm (best for Ti: Sapphire Ultrafast Amplifiers). TFP is intended to be used at Brewster's angle, and angle tuning is required to optimize reflection and transmission performance. Specifications Substrate Material Fused Silica or BK7 Flatness l/10 at 633nm Wavefront Distortion l/8 at 633nm Wedge < 3arc minutes Surface Quality 20-10 Scratch and Dig for Laser application Diameter/Length/Width Tolerance +0.0mm, -0.25mm Thickness Tolerance +/- 0.25mm Extiction rate: >3000:1 Tp>96% Ts<0.02% Damaged threshold >8J/cm2 for 10ns 10HZ
