Four-Channel Lead Selenide Detector For Highly Sensitive Measurements

08 Oct 2009

Cal Sensors introduces the MIRA4, a new PbSe-based four-channel detector for the spectral range from 1 - 5 µm. Up to four different gases can be detected when integrating suitable narrow-band filters.

The detector element and the four filters are arranged in a compact, hermetically-sealed TO5 housing with sapphire window. This increases the lifespan of the detector and makes it predestined to be used under harsh industrial conditions. Its small size and low energy consumption enable this detector to be used in portable measurement and analysis systems. The MIRA4 was developed for use in a variety of applications in industrial and medical gas measurement technology, emission measurement technology in street and air traffic, mines, and general environmental measurement technology.
