Laser Diode Modules for Hot Times - FLEXPOINT® for Temperatures of Up to +85°C

20 Jul 2009

Many applications require a significantly wider operating temperature range in the components used than is normally the case.

The maximum operating temperature of standard laser diode modules is 40-45°C, which is often insufficient. For this reason, a laser diode module was developed that has an operating temperature range of -10° to +85°C. It does not have to be actively cooled, thus remaining small and inexpensive. The dot laser emits at 655 nm and is available with 1 mW (laser class 2) and 4.5 mW (laser class 3R). An aspherical glass lens is used to produce good optical imaging results. With this lens the laser beam can either be focused or collimated to emit a parallel beam. The calculated MTTF of the module is > 30,000 hours. For more information please refer to the datasheet service we offer. Our R&D team looks forward to your request for a customer-specific module.
