06 Jul 2009 OpticStudio is an optical testing setup designed for measuring MTF, depth-of-field, and more. It is affordable, easily customizable, and easy to use. It can also be used for precision alignment. OpticStudio is our optical testing setup, designed to be used with our PixelScope software. There are three off-the-shelf versions, depending on your off-axis needs and whether the lens system is designed to be used for finite conjugates or at infinity. Optional motorized stages make automating focus and other functions simple.
The most important measurement our setup can do is that of MTF, the standard measure of image quality.
Other methods, such as interferometry, are effective for simple systems, but our setup is useful for complex problems. Our product is also cheaper and easier to modify than more expensive systems.
