24 Apr 2009 New patent pending worm-gear design offers increased precision, higher speeds and higher loads - over a longer working life Aerotech has launched a new range of precision worm-drive rotary stages featuring large through-apertures and a unique patent pending preload scheme that provides outstanding levels of accuracy and repeatability with minimal wear and an order of magnitude increase in stage life over competitive gear-driven rotary stages.
The AGR series covers five models with internal diameter from 50 mm to 200 mm and is available with continuous 360 degree travel, or with a mechanically limited travel range (down to 5 degrees). Axial load capacity is up to 570 kg and rated speed to 30 rpm; and the range includes optional directly mounted encoders for best performance repeatability and negligible levels of hysteresis and backlash. |
