17 Feb 2009 Filters and optics can be changed automatically with the FRM series filter wheels from Owis. They can be inserted into the optical path and precisely attenuate the laser beam as required. Available from Scitec Instruments Polska, these motorised filter wheels allow adjustment of the laser intensity. Applications include fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, photometry and other laser light based setups.
The FRM 40 filter wheel can hold four or six 25 mm (1 inch) diameter unmounted filters or mounted optics. The FRM 65 filter wheel can accept either five 50 x 50 mm plates or 45 mm (2 inch) diameter mounted optics. Both motorised filter wheels can be integrated into the OWIS SYS 40 or SYS 65 systems when mounted on a slide. Use of pins or other adjustments allow them to be used with other beam height. There is a choice of either 2-phase stepper motor or DC servo motor for driving them. |
