02 Feb 2009 In order to increase the coupling efficiency of regular glass optical fibers (GOF), HarzOptics augments glass fibers with specialized fiber lenses (also called fiber tapers). The average coupling efficiency can be increased up to 60% by introducing fiber lenses.
HarzOptics ships all GOF tapers with highly accurate measurement protocols and can deliver customized taper miniseries of up to 100 tapers within 7 days. Tapers are suitable for use in experimental settings as well as industrial applications.
