05 Jan 2009 RP Fiber Power 2.0 is a powerful and user-friendly tool for simulating the performance of fiber lasers and amplifiers. RP Fiber Power 2.0 has a very powerful script language, but can also be controlled simply by filling various parameters into forms. Uttermost flexibility is combined with an easy entry level.
The software can take into account energy transfers, quenching and upconversion processes, etc., and the radial dependencies of optical intensities and doping and excitation densities. Arbitrary numbers of pump, signal and ASE channels can be defined, and the temporal evolution e.g. during pulse amplification can be simulated. The numerical algorithms are optimized for reliable and fast convergence, minimizing the computation time without compromising the accuracy. |
