05 Dec 2008 eGTRAN ANNOUNCES SECOND GENERATION TRANSPONDER AND NEW LINE OF 40G ICs AND COMPONENTS Camarillo, CA – eGtran Corporation, a high performance optical and RF connectivity solutions company, today announced the introduction of its second generation of client-side 40 Gbps transponders, and a new line of 40G ICs and components. The new ICs include a 40G transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with integrated limiting and operational amplifiers, as well as a single-chip solution 40G laser/modulator driver IC. IC evaluation samples will be available starting in October 2008. The TIA will be incorporated into eGtran’s new MSA-compliant 40G receiver, and the laser/modulator driver IC will be incorporated into a small form factor, single-chip laser/modulator GPPO (SSMP) connectorized package. eGtran’s 40G MSA-compliant receiver and packaged driver will be available for evaluation in Q4 2009. |
