31 Oct 2008 Onyx offers the walk-off correction of non-linear crystals through our AFB® process. We possess the criteria to design walk-off corrected AFB® composites employing uniaxial and biaxial crystals.
We can manufacture walk-off corrected (WOC) composites according to customer specifications and are able to assist with the complete design of WOC components or devices.
Onyx has recently obtained an exclusive license from the U.S. Department of Energy to practice the inventions described in U.S. Patent No. 6,544,330, entitled "Bonded, Walkoff Compensated Optical Elements."
Onyx also offers a variety of non-linear crystals which may be utilized as bulk material or used to create a walk-off corrected AFB® composite. These crystals are available to customers within the United States in a variety of standard sizes, with or without coatings, and are available with a short lead time. Custom crystals are available, as well.
