10 Oct 2008 SimuLase calculates the important material properties of semiconductor heterostructures, like, gain, PL, radiative and Auger losses with unprecedented accuracy and ease. SimuLase is the first software tool that allows a broad audience to take full advantage of the latest in semiconductor modeling. It's underlying fully microscopic many-body models allow to determine the electro-optical properties like, gain/absorption, refractive indicies, spontaneous emission (photo luminescence) or radiative carrrier losses and Auger losses, with unprecedented accuracy while removing fit-parameters that used to require time and cost-intensive experimental investigations.
The easy to use GUI includes tools to investigate the data, analyze experimental PL, calculate loss currents, etc.. The created data can be easily imported into other software as the correct fundamental input for modelling the overall device with classical models for light, carrier and heat dynamics.
