06 Aug 2008 The tunable IR detector has applications in the spectral analysis of gases, liquids, or surfaces. It is available for two wavelength ranges: 3.0-4.3 µm and 3.9-5.0 µm. FWHM of the filter is approximately 90-100 nm; this value can continuously be electrostatically tuned. These compact LFP detectors in a TO-8 housing thus close the gap between multicolor detectors containing fixed interference filters and complex, expensive spectrometers.
The LPF detector is based on a conventional Fabry Perot interferometer (FPI). Tuning the filter is achieved by changing the physical distance between a fixed and a movable mirror. |
