28 May 2008 APD bias controlled high voltage modules are particularly well suited for the operation of APDs. The output voltage can be precisely adjusted in the range from +/-10 V to +/-550 V and has the required stability. The temperature coefficient of the output voltage can be adjusted to match the properties of a particular APD exactly. Both discrete APDs and APD modules, also with an integrated temperature sensor, can be operated. The output power is restricted to a safe setting to protect the APD against overloading. A precise reference voltage source is built into the system. The output voltage can be adjusted. |
