06 Mar 2008 Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced the L10195 series of quantum cascade lasers. The L10195-01 has a peak emission of 7.7 μm, while the L10195-02 emits at 5.2 μm. Both models feature high output power at room temperature, typically 15 mW, and very narrow spectral linewidth of 0.02 nm. In addition, their emission wavelength can be controlled by temperature adjustment and then stabilised with a thermoelectric cooler. Key applications include high-resolution spectroscopy systems for environmental sensing and pollution monitoring, breath analysis in medical diagnosis, and industrial process control. |
