09 Jul 2009 New collimation measurement instrument for mid-infrared wavelengths. This instrument is for the testing of lasers and optics in the mid-infrared (3-5µm), which are used in imaging and remote sensing applications. New and novel lasers, such as quantum cascade lasers, also operate in this range. This collimation measurement system exploits a principal of optics to acquire the beam collimation in a single beam size measurement for rapid and real-time collimation. The collimation fixture is also available for ultra-violet, visible, near and far infrared applications. |
