25 Sep 2007 Photon Lines Ltd announces the release of the MotionBLITZ® Cube4 from Mikrotron GmbH, a high Speed CMOS camera capable of recording at 1,000 images per Second at 1.3 Megapixels with an ethernet interface for machine vision & scientific applications MotionBLITZ® Cube4: High Speed Recording at 1,000 Images per Second and 1.3 Megapixel
Fast processes and movements require fast camera systems for monitoring and analysis.
Photon Lines Ltd, a value added distributor is proud to announce that Mikrotron, an expert manufacturer of digital high speed cameras, is now introducing the innovative MotionBLITZ® Cube4 high speed recording camera. The Cube4 is an ultra-compact onboard buffer camera, doing 1,000 images per second at a 1280 x 1024 mega pixel resolution.
Through a free selectable region of interest (RoI), recording speed can even be increased. Over 90,000 images per second can be achieved by focussing the RoI on an object.
Selectable pre and post trigger recording enable the MotionBLITZ® Cube4’s onboard ring buffer to save exactly the moment the chips are down, for instance an event’s cause.
Also, the Cube’s small form factor is cutting edge. An unbeaten housing depth of 92mm enables the camera to be applied even where space is limited.
The MotionBLITZ® Cube4 GigaBit Ethernet interface allows easy plug-and-play operation through any standard notebook or PC with an Ethernet interface. After installation, the MotionBLITZ® Cube4 can be unplugged to record standalone either on external power supply, or up to 1 hour by internal battery set.
On notebook/PC, the sequences generated in the camera can be stored after transmission either as BMP single images or AVI sequences.
The modular structure of MotionBLITZ® Cube4, providing manifold upgrade options, allows a unique flexibility for a multitude of applications. One of these options is the unrivalled ImageBLITZ® auto trigger that enables the Cube4 to be easily triggered by free selection and definition of any part of the image area as a sensitive spot.
Further options are for example multi sequence recording, IRIG-B interface, and Hi-G compatibility.
The MotionBLITZ® Cube4 is designed for multiple application fields: from process analysis and efficiency improvement of machines, to industry and science R&D, through analyses in sports and medicine, MotionBLITZ® Cube4 can be a valuable tool.
