06 Jun 2007 Resolve Optics Ltd. has announced a second generation version of its popular 230-000 series surveillance lens that now comes with a new camera mount adapter enabling the lens to be mounted on most remote head cameras. With a diameter of just 4.5 to 8.5 mm and measuring 46.5 mm in length the lens is small enough to be readily concealed yet produces a broadcast quality image. The conical shape of the lens makes covert installations easy.
The unique design of the 230-000 series surveillance lens achieves a wide field of view with minimal distortion through use of high-quality micro optical elements. Providing high throughput across the spectral waveband 400-700 nm the f / 5.6 surveillance lens produces clear sharp images (400 TV lines) with very little distortion over its 74-degree field of view.
The small size and high performance of the miniature surveillance lens means that it can placed in a keyhole or positioned behind a 1mm pinhole and still give excellent results.
