05 Jan 2009 Automated motorized Littman/Metcalf lasers provide the possibility of continuous coverage from 0-8 THz. Sacher Lasertechnik GmbH provides powerful diode laser systems as THz difference frequency sources. Two lasers in the 760 – 1080nm range are spatially overlapped and amplified to powers of up to 1.2W (cw or pulsed, repetition rates 16 - 67kHz, pulse lengths of 20 - 100ns). Automated motorized Littman/Metcalf lasers provide the possibility of continuous coverage from 0-8 THz.
