Edmund Optics will kick off Photonics West 2007 with its hottest line of Tech Spec™ optics and photonics products. Featuring new Tech Spec™ Mechanics, ChamelEOs™ illumination, and Harsh Environment Optics, Edmund revs up optical performance for the New Year.
Topping this year’s must-see advances include Edmund Optics breakthrough LED-based Chameleos™ illumination delivery system, which promises to replace the current use of quartz halogen in a variety of environments from machine vision, to security, to biomedical equipment. Chameleos effectively harnesses LED brightness, delivering a powerful RGB source that can be independently controlled. The product will be available April 1.
Edmund will also showcase its latest advances in HEO™ Harsh Environment Optics for automotive and industrial environments. These HEOs are ideal for visible and near-infrared infinite conjugate imaging applications that require sealed optical components that can excel in wash-down or similarly wet surroundings.
