17 Nov 2006 A new cleaver for fiber ribbons is now available at LASER COMPONENTS. Cleaves with right angles and slopes of 4° to 12° can be achieved with this cleaver!
Constructed for fibers with a diameter of 125 μm, the new ARFC model can break the ends of fibers at angles of 4°, 6°, 8°, and 10° and is currently available for a maximum of eight fibers. A reduced return loss of up to RL < -60 dB can be achieved with easy-to-use, high quality angular fiber cleaves without having to further polish the fiber facets. |
