20 Sep 2006 SUN 2000 Solar Simulators with their Gen II optical design put more photons on the work plane. The next generation in solar simulators for photovoltaic testing, SPF testing and UV edge studies are now available from Abet Technologies. All Abet simulators meet class AAB ASTM and IEC specifications. The innovative GenII optical design of the SUN 2000 simulators delivers more photons to the work plane making SUN 2000 simulators approximately 2.5 times more efficient that those available from other manufacturers.
The entire source, power supply, control electronics, shutter, lamp, and optical compartment are housed in a compact enclosure, approximately 13.5 X 19 X 30 inches (350X500X750 mm). All the system controls are located together at the rear of the system and are equipped for easy setup. Locking Indicator dials allow you to keep track of alignment positions for all the components making system optimization a simple, fast, and easy procedure. Available systems can be supplied with 2X2, 4X4, 6x6 and 8X8 inch nominal output beams. An optional photofeedback system assures constant irradiance to the work plane by automatically adjusting the lamp wattage as a lamp or optical components age.
