01 Sep 2006 Light curing adhesives offer many advantages over alternative optical assembly technologies. Especially in high tech applications where accuracy and processing time matter. The DYMAX light curing adhesives efficiently join optical lenses, glass, plastic and fibre optic parts.
UV and visible light is used to cure the adhesive in seconds. Therefore, the intensity of the UV source determines the quality of the polymerization and hence adhesion performance. This intensity is easy to monitor and to control using the new DYMAX ACCU-CAL™ 50 radiometer.
The device is simple to operate and offers repeatable measurement in the UVA spectrum (320 nm – 395 nm) from 1 mW/cm² to 40.0 W/cm². It is compatible with all types of DYMAX UV curing systems: spot lamps (for small curing areas), flood lamps (for larger parts or a collection of small parts) and conveyors.
The new ACCU-CAL™ 50 complements the DYMAX line of technical adhesives and UV curing systems and helps to keep the process quality at high levels. |
