04 Aug 2006 The Photron ultima APX-i2 uses a Gen II image intensifier bonded directly to the mega pixel CMOS sensor to provide full resolution imagery to 2,000 fps (frames per second) and reduced resolution operation to 120,000 fps. With gating down to 20ns and excellent sensitivity in the UV/Blue spectral range, thei2 is ideally suited for combustion and flame research. The i2 uses the same camera head as the ultima APX so users can switch between intensified, color or black and white camera heads. |
