26 Jul 2006 An important feature of optical fiber cleavers is the high quality cleave both on the side of the fiber feeding as well as on the remaining stripped fiber, however minimal its length (cleave length). LASER COMPONENTSÂ’ fiber cleavers, optimized for use in making angular cleaves of 4 deg. to 12 deg., are designed for fibers with a diameter of 80 to 200 um and are well suited for the separation of polarization-maintaining fibers. These products are also well known for their easy handling, celerity, and flexibility.
