Building on the popular MiniRam Raman Spectrometer system, the addition of the PDA sized computer makes an even smaller portable system. Using a full Microsoft Windows XP operating system, programs such as Thermos Grams/AI, The Unscrambler by Camo, and others can be run outside the laboratory. A reliable 785 nm excitation laser at 300 mW provides Raman shift spectra from 225 3100 cm-1 for solids and liquids, usually without any sample preparation.
